"Less than you think for more than you can imagine!" Dear Parent: If you are looking for the cheapest entertainer for your child's upcoming birthday party, I'm probably not it, but I'm also not the most expensive out there either. However, many parents say I'm the best (judging by the repeat customers and many referrals). I hope that after reading this message on pricing, that you will find the answers you are looking for when it comes to hiring the perfect entertainer to invite to your child's party.
Your decision to hire entertainment should be easy, stress free and should not break the bank. Many parents base their entire decision on hiring an entertainer solely on the price rather than the quality of the show. While I too am a parent and can understand where budget is a major factor, I have put together a few thoughts for you to consider when choosing the right entertainer. First, any "full time" professional entertainer like myself is going to charge more than an amateur. I specialize in children's birthday parties. Through the 22 years of experience, I perform at over 400 parties a year. A professional makes his or her living off just performing, enjoys what he or she does and has perfected themselves as an in-demand performer with a long list of satisfied clients. A "part timer" is usually interested in making a little extra money and generally is not as dedicated or as skilled in performing. The simple truth is that a person generally gets what they pay for most of the time. Would you hire a cheap accountant to do your taxes? Would you trust a cheap doctor to perform surgery on your child? The answer in most likely NO. The same goes for entertainment!
I'm not trying to scare you off and make you think, "this guy must charge a whole lot for a birthday party." The fact is that my fees are reasonable enough for most people to hire me. I base this theory off of the large number of birthday parties I perform at every year. What it all boils down to is this: if you hire a cheap performer, you may be taking a chance on the success of your child's party. If you hire someone based on their "low fee" and they bore the kids to sleep, you actually overpaid. If you are willing to pay a few dollars more and hire a professional who makes their living off of performing, enjoys what they do, has an excellent reputation, has lots of references and can offer you a spectacular show, you are getting a really great deal.
In order to give you the best price available, I like to discuss the party in detail with you. This let's you know just what you are getting for your hard earned dollar and it also allows me to answer your questions. If after talking, you decide that you simply cannot afford me, I will be more than happy to refer you to another entertainer who may work for less. Last, when choosing an entertainer for your child's party, please make sure that the performer works with children on a regular basis. There is nothing worse than having someone show up at a kid's party and them do adult material or has no patience for children's actions.
